Lieutenant Colonel Fabien Monthiller

Born and raised in Kourou, French Guiana, in close proximity to the Guiana Space Centre, Lieutenant-Colonel Fabien Monthiller developed a passion for aerospace from an early age. He joined the French Air and Space Force in 2008 and completed his initial training at Salon-de Provence, at the Air and Space Academy. His career began with operational assignments at air bases and operational headquarters in Saint-Dizier, Orange, Orléans, and Paris, where he participated in aerial and multi-domain operations. These experiences included several deployments abroad, notably on missions supporting civilian populations and civil-military cooperation, allowing him to build solid field expertise and international partnership skills. After completing his studies at the École de Guerre (War College), he joined the International Relations Division of the Space Command in 2025. He currently serves as Head of the office responsible for relations with Europe, the European Union, Africa, the Middle East, and India.
