Alex Fortescue has 25 years of business development experience in earth observation in Africa. He has a Master of Science cum laude focussed on remote sensing in the conservation sector and both commercial and public sector experience. He spent 10 years as the Earth Observation manager at the precursor to the South African Space Agency (SANSA) and 15 years in the commercial sector working with airborne and satellite technologies in the African market. For the last 11 years he has been Manager for Africa at Maxar technologies.
