Arlette TANGA
Arlette TANGA is President of the African Association of Air and Space Law (AADAS), where she leads initiatives aimed at advancing the legal and institutional structuring of Africa’s emerging space sector. She is an Attorney-at-Law at the Paris and Cameroon Bars and a Maître-Assistant CAMES in private law at the University of Yaoundé II. Her work focuses on international space law and aviation law, with particular emphasis on African space governance, State responsibility for private space activities under Article VI of the Outer Space Treaty, bioethics in space law from an African perspective, as well as passenger protection and regulatory integration within the SAATM framework. A practitioner of mediation, she is also engaged in the development of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms tailored to the specificities of the African air and space sectors. A regular speaker at major international conferences, she contributes to amplifying Africa’s voice in global discussions on space governance and regulatory development, and advises on complex cross-border legal matters.
