After graduating from the American University in 1988, Mr BA OUMAR was hired as a Computer Database Analyst/Programmer by RMS Technologies Inc, a US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) contractor in the Washington DC’s area. He then became an independant Consultant and successfully conducted various database development projects for the FAA’s Telecommunications Management and Operations’ branch (ASM320) as an RMS Technologies subcontractor between 1993 and 1995. Mr BA OUMAR relocated to Gabon in 1996 to start Internet Gabon, the first ISP in that country, and has since grown that company into becoming IG Telecom SA, one of the largest satellite communications operator in West Africa since 2010 with over 1000 VSAT sites deployed in the region. Mr BA OUMAR, also served between 2017 and 2022 as Chairman of FOCEG (Gabon’s Federation of Licensed Telecommunications Operators) and President of the Board of CPG (Gabon’s main business Council). He is a founding member and former Vice President of the board the American Business Association of Gabon (ABAG).
