Dr Akram Alkasih
Dr Akram is a telecommunication engineer. He did his master's and PhD in Superconductive electronic circuits at the E&E department at Stellenbosch University in South Africa. He was the head of the department of technological projects at the LCRSSS and vice director till 2017. Currently, he is the general director of the LCRSSS in Libya. Dr Akram is an assistant professor and a scientific researcher in space and satellite technologies, remote sensing, and geographical information systems applications. He has been in many activities and events related to those fields and has published scientific publications and papers on these disciplines. He is the focal point and communication with the OSS consortium at GMES&Africa project, and he represents the Libyan centre with some regional and international organizations, including the regional centre for remote sensing in North Africa, OSS, NAARS, and ISNET.
