Amr ElSayed EMAM, is a seasoned satellite communications expert with a Ph.D. in Communication Engineering (2005) and a strong academic background, having published multiple technical papers in digital signal processing, encryption systems, and satellite communication systems. Since 2014, Amr ElSayed EMAM has served as Head of the Space Sector at NILESAT, leading specialized teams in monitoring, control, and operations of the company’s geostationary satellites and associated ground infrastructure located in Giza and Alexandria. Under his management, the space sector has ensured reliable satellite operations and advanced ground segment management. Responsible for the frequency coordination, and spectrum filling management, coordinating such activities with the national authorities (NTRA), as well as international entities as the international telecommunication union (ITU), and other international organizations. As Project Director of the NILESAT-301 (NIL-301) satellite project (2018– 2022), Amr ElSayed EMAM played a pivotal role in the satellite’s successful launch and in-orbit commissioning in Q3 2022, strengthening the company position in the regional satellite communications market. Currently, Amr ElSayed EMAM leads the strategic committee for NILESAT’s next- generation satellite project (NIL-401), overseeing feasibility studies, mission design, and technical development to expand the company’s orbital assets and service capabilities.
