Dr Bernd J. HOEFER
Bernd is based in the Kingdom of Bahrain since 2006 and oversees more than 25 years in the Space Industry. He supports the GCC/MENA countries to industrialize and to diversify their economies and ultimately becoming knowledge-based economies. He is the CEO of A9C Capital WLL (Bahrain, est. 2008), one of the leading technology investment and consulting companies in the MENA region and Co-Founder/Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of DiMOS Operations GmbH, Germany, a spin-off (2020) from the Galileo Satellite Control Centre. From 2001 to 2006 Bernd was the Vice Chairman of the Executive Board, CFO and Chief Innovation Officer of the German Aerospace Centre (DLR). He served on various boards and committees such as Application Centre for Satellite Navigation (Munich), Centre for Science and Research Management (Speyer), T-Systems Solutions for Research, European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN, Geneva), Commerzbank and others. Prior to this he was Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). Bernd is Honorary Professor for Economics, Management and Finance at the University of Applied Sciences Cologne (RFH) and Professor for Innovation Management and Technology Transfer at the University of Applied Sciences Bonn/Rhein-Sieg.
