Dr. Yeshurun Alemayehu Adde serves is the Deputy Director General of the Ethiopian Space Science and Geospatial Institute, he spearheaded the launch of Ethiopia’s first and second remote sensing satellites. The Honorable Dr. Yeshurun Alemayehu Adde served as Ethiopia's State Minister for the ICT and Digital Economy Sector at the Ministry of Innovation and Technology for till September 2025, blending servant leadership with advanced engineering expertise to drive the nation’s digital transformation. Holding PhDs in Physics (Small Satellite Development) and Business Administration (Servant Leadership), he is pursuing a third PhD in Mechanical Design Engineering (Space Robotics) at Addis Ababa University, underscoring his dedication to cutting edge research and organizational excellence. As former Deputy Director General of the Ethiopian Space Science and Geospatial Institute, he spearheaded the launch of Ethiopia’s first and second remote sensing satellites. He also founded and chairs the board of African Aeronautics & Astronautics Center, promoting pan-African aerospace collaboration. With over 10 peer-reviewed papers and significant academic contributions, Dr. Yeshurun embodies leadership, innovation, and commitment to continental progress.
