Mr. James Barrington-Brown was the Founder of the South Africa headquatered spacecraft subsystems and component manufacturer, NewSpace Systems. An Electronics Engineering Graduate, James has more than thirty years of experience in the commercial satellite industry. Adept in the areas of leadership and business development, James boasts an impressive and proven track record of supporting demanding international space programmes, securing and leveraging investment, scaling space businesses, incubating start-ups and mentoring entrepreneurs. He has recently co-Founded Africa Space Ventures to bring commercial funding (and thinking) into building the African spacetech ecosystem.
