Grounded in faith and committed to intentional, purpose-led living, Takondwa Karen Mwendera is an award-winning Communications and Brand Strategist, storyteller, and producer working at the intersection of space, technology, and impact. She currently serves as Administrative Assistant to the Vice President at the African Space Agency, where she is passionate about advancing Africa’s space agenda and supporting the growth of the continent’s space ecosystem through strategic coordination and storytelling. Born in Malawi, having lived across six countries, and now based in Cairo, Egypt, she brings a distinctly pan-African perspective to her work. Takondwa is an experienced speaker and moderator, having led conversations on platforms including the African Fintech Summit, Africa Tech Festival, Forbes Africa, and the Anglo American Impact Fund Festival. As the founder of Afrikaren Media, she supports startups, founders, and institutions across Africa in building impactful brands and narratives within emerging and frontier industries. With an MSc in Humanitarian Engineering with Management, she believes interdisciplinary innovation is key to solving Africa’s most complex challenges and shaping its future in the global space economy
