Timothy Adi Ashong is an engineer specialising in communications management and electronic and telecommunications engineering. He has over 19 years of experience in radio spectrum management, satellite regulation and telecommunications. Currently Managing Director of RASCOM (since 2023), he leads the Organization's strategy for the development of satellite services in Africa, ensuring international cooperation and financial sustainability. Previously, he held various positions at the National Communications Authority of Ghana (2009-2023), including in satellite spectrum management, regulation and international coordination. He was also responsible for network operations at Internet Ghana (2002-2009), overseeing the installation and maintenance of VSAT and broadband networks. He holds an MSc in Communications Management (UK) and a degree in Telecommunications Engineering (Ghana) and is a recognized expert in international forums (ITU, ECOWAS, ATU). His contributions include the filing of Ghana's first observation satellite and the development of the country's National Frequency Table.
