Vincent Gabaglio is International Relations Officer at EUMETSAT, the European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites. In this role, he notably supports EUMETSAT’s international cooperation with partners in Africa, with a focus on use Earth observation for weather, water and climate monitoring. Over the years, Vincent has been involved in the Europe-Africa cooperation on space-based applications, including the implementation of AMESD, MESA, SAWIDRA and ClimSA programmes, as well as EUMETSAT’s engagement in the GMES&Africa initiative. Vincent also leads the organisation of the EUMETSAT User Forum in Africa, a biennial event fostering dialogue between African user communities and meteorological satellite data providers to ensure the alignment of services with African needs in weather, climate, water, agriculture, and disaster risk reduction.
