Memme Onwudiwe is a legal technologist, space law expert, and Lecturer on Law at Harvard Law School. His seminal academic article ""Africa and the Artemis Accords: A Review of Space Regulations and Strategy for African Capacity Building in the New Space Economy"" co-authored with Kwame Newton, outlines opportunities and risks for African nations in the new space era. His current research centers on legal regimes and governance of natural resources mined in space. Memme is a founding advisory board member of the Space Beach Law Lab, based in Long Beach California, and a founding board member of the Harvard Space and Admiralty Law Society (Now the Harvard Space Law Society) where he has been influential in building platforms advancing thought leadership in space law and interplanetary governance. Memme has spoken at leading forums including the National Space Society’s International Space Development Conference and the U.S. Air Force’s Air Command and Staff College's Summer Workshop on Teaching Space, and the Eilene M. Galloway Symposium on Critical Issues in Space Law.
