As the global space economy enters a new era, international space partnerships must evolve beyond traditional frameworks. Accelerating Africa’s space ecosystem requires sustained collaboration across a diverse range of stakeholders — industry, academia, development agencies, financial services, and etc — none of whom can deliver transformative impact alone. In this session, practitioners from across Japan’s space ecosystem share their ongoing initiatives and future visions for partnership with Africa — spanning small satellite technology, Earth observation applications, development cooperation, ecosystem building, and business development. Together, they explore how Japan’s diverse capabilities can be co-designed with African priorities to deliver inclusive growth for all Africans.
